How Is it Made?
Each vase is made in the Furnace by a Glass master, who uses the technique of glassblowing to give the vase its shape and colour decided. The vase is then ground and characterised by the engraving work of the master engraver. The latter, depending on the shape of the vase, draws and engraves the chosen texture and geometric design.
Below are the main processes performed on the engraved single-colour vases:
- grinding with the sandblasted technique, to create the matt effect.
- grinding with the beaten technique, to create an irregular surface with deep beats reminiscent of hammer blows.
- grinding with the veiled technique, to create an irregular surface with soft beating.
- grinding with the corroded technique, to give the vase a rough effect.
- engraving with the rotina technique to recreate the bas-relief effect.
Each vase includes:
- engraved signature.
- certificate of authenticity and provenance.
- registered trademark Vetro Artistico® Murano.
- suitable packaging to guarantee shipment.
